I’m looking for something for 30-50 dollars, and I don’t want any ear scratchers or earbuds. I want the full headphones, with the large circular speakers and obviously a high quality mic.
Any recommendations?

I’m a little confused about the functionality of a USB Stereo Headset. I don’t know if it matters about the model I’m looking at (Plantronics Audio 655 USB Headset)
I really would like to buy a stereo gaming headset for the PS3, and I’m looking at some headsets that are made for PC. Since USB is a universal format, I think I can use a USB PC headset with the PS3 right?
And if I’m using the Plantronics 655, will I just be able to plug it in and go? Or will I have to buy some wires so the game sound will come through the headset along with the voice chat?
Thanks a lot for any help!
I’m hopefully getting this game soon. Can I use a headset to talk with other players online without downloading Xfire or some other program? Can it use a headset on the game itself? And can you also type to chat with other people you’re playing with?
Looking at its properties (Windows 7) under Sound, Video and Game controllers, it says it has a Microsoft High Definition audio device, but it does not play any sound even with speakers or headset attached. Where should i be looking to see if the pc can play sound? I looked at Device Manager, and it also says it has standard Microsoft system speakers.
Last night my "Logitech Extreme Gaming Headset" was working working fine on Ventrilo. I checked around for some solutions. I did not change any sound settings. I am on a Compaq Presario C306US Notebook PC. I got the wires connected in the correct slots. Updated my sound drivers. Mic volume is up. Recording option is checked. I am not sure what to do. I am using XP Media. I tested the microphone on another laptop which is using Vista. The mic works fine. Last night I did download, "AV Voice Changer 6.0 Diamond", after the program was installed, that was when the microphone went out. I unstalled the program, and restarted the computer many times. I can not seem to solve the problem. It is not Ventrilo, I tested by doing the "training profile" and the microphone did not pick up at all. So please help me. Thank you.
I tested on another computer, the microphone does work.
If I have to do a system recovery, is there anyway I can make it go back two days and not to when I first got it. I don’t think I got any CDs besides the one that came with the computer.
It turn out the only way I could fix this was to do a system restore. My guess would be that the voice changer program interfere with a certain .dll file that the headset needed for the microphone to work. Once the .dll was changed to meet the voice changer requirement, the microphone no longer worked.
I don’t mean the headsets with the large headphones, I’m looking for one that only has a microphone and little speaker, kind of like a blue tooth headset. But I want to use this only to chat in online games. In fact if what I’m looking for doesn’t exist then will I be able to use a blue tooth headset on a PC as a microphone, using the usb adapter of course.
I would like to buy a USB headset for my PC. I play a lot of computer games that have VOIP so naturally I wanted a headset. Any suggestions?
