hey guys.
Im looking at getting a PC gaming headset and need some help deciding. ive been looking around at different products and noticed allot of differences between them. First i was looking at 5.1 and 7.1 surround headsets but i have been told that there a gimik and are not as good as they are made out to be. So then i went on to look at stereo headsets with virtual surround sound and found allot of different ones. i also noticed different connections like some are usb and ive also been told that they have problems with certain games, or i seen some with optical audio slots. basically i want a PC headset with has nice base for the explosions, decent surround to pin point where sounds are coming from and decent sound quality. Which is the best USB or optical audio with plugs directly into sound-card. plz help guys i have no idea which ones. OH and not too expensive, im not made of money

I need a really good and clear headset with a mic for my PS3 but I don’t know which one… It needs to be wireless because I play about 6 feet from my TV and i dont want a cord stretched over my screen.
So does anyone have a recommendation on a GREAT WIRELESS HEADSET FOR PS3 GAMING? (Money isnt an object)

Can you connect the Xbox 360 cotnroller to the Pc using the USB cable and then use the headset for the controller as a microphone outside of games, like for chatting?
Edit: I wanted to see if I could use the 360 one because I already have it, and the only other microphone I have works horribly because it is in the monitor.

I have always used the small headset that came with my xbox 360 to chat with my friends, but about two months ago I got into pc gaming, and also decided that since the gaming world is changing, I wanted to be able to hear game audio in my headset. What is a good quality stereo headset that will work on both platforms, at a reasonable price (-0, 5 being my limit)?

Hey guys, just wondering what sort of headset I need to play PC games online so I can talk with my teammates. I’m new to the PC gaming thing…playing XBOX 360 for a while but want to get started on the PC. Are the headsets USB connected? Where can I buy them…like Gamestop or BestBuy? I really want to play games like CounterStrike…any other realy popular online PC games that utilize voice functions?

I’m a gamer I want to use a headset for in-game sound without having to pay for one. I came up with an idea to do it cheaper . .
Split the audio (rca) coming from my PS3 and run one side to my television and with the other run a RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack. Then use a F/F coupler to connect the headphones to the 3.5mm jack.
Would there be any problems with this idea? I want to be sure it’ll work before I buy everything.

I recently found 2 old PC headsets that my sister no longer wants. I do not know the make of 1 and the other says plantronics on the side but has no model number. I wish to use them to talk over teamspeak while playing an internet game.
I have plugged them into the correct socket but windows does not detect them and i have no install disk / idea if i need one to start with. Is there anyway i can get these to work?
