My headset is playing all the sounds from my computer through my headset instead of just my voice. My PC speakers are not turned on, its not getting feedback from them. It’s broadcasting all sounds from my computer through the microphone.

I recently purchased an AK-R8 gaming headset for use with my PC. AK-R8 is made by the turtle beach company, which also manufactures several headsets made for use with an Xbox 360. The Ak-R8 is the top of the line of turtle beach headsets, so im wondering if my AK-R8 is capable of being plugged into the usb port of an xbox 360 and used as a mic and headset?

I am looking into a Pink G2 Universal Bluetooth Blue Tooth Wireless Headset but I am not sure about the quality. Does anyone know if this is a good model?
I don’t need the top of the line brand really. I just want a headset with great ability to hear others clearly. That is my main concern. As long as people can hear me and I can hear them (clearly) I am fine with that.

I have a new Vista PC. The speakers work fine (5.1 setup). However when I play a game and use my headset with mic it works fine (its connected via USB) but when I disconnect I no longer have sound through my regular speakers.
The audio still works but now only through my headset. It’s as if the audio only wants to come through the headset USB connection. How do I enable my main speakers?

So i decided to hook my old PC up and game a little bit when i noticed my mic was not working at all (i have winXP). So i did the normal stuff, restarted my PC, rolled back drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, updated drivers, used the mic testing wizard, messed with the basic sound settings, made sure the actual mic itself was activated, and nothing is working so far. the mic does work on my mac so its not broken, the soundcard was onboard and i put a PCI sound card in to see if it was an integrated sound issue, and its still not working.
I have no idea where to go from here, im sort of just messing with it now to see if i can fix it. please help.
Just tried that. didnt work. i kept audacity open for record thru mic and kept repeating test as i jiggled the plug and moved it in and out. but i got nothing. i did get some waves and such, i heard the waves go thru my headphones on my headset so i figured it was recording what i was hearing, but i opened up itunes and played a song but it did not record that.

I’ve been looking into getting a new gaming headset to replace my old one… I found this awesome Turtle Beach ones that are cheap and look great… But after looking at the review made by the company they seem to lack the information about the actual microphone and mostly just talk about the sound quality…
I want to try and get a very good microphone quality so if theres anyone out there who can check and do a little looking and see if these are good i will be a happy youtuber
