I am asking this question again just so I get a better answer

Am I being overcharged for somthing I don’t need?
Thanks in advance, I’m just a kid so I’m not too good with building computers.
I was looking at them and they seem to be perfect, but I feel like there should be a catch. For 0, you get headphones with real 5.1 surround sound, with 4 speakers in each ear? The only downfalls I could think of is that it isn’t compatible with the PS3 and the wires will be a hassle.
If anyone has them, how is the sound quality? How about the mic? Is there a stereo mode for music and such?
They came out last monday, here is the page: http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/pc-gaming-headsets/ear-force-z6a.aspx
Thanks.
I’m low on cash and I want something better than what I have now (a standard wireless bluetooth-style mic). My budget is -. The best ones I have found for that price are the Tritton TRIAX-180 AX 180′s. Here’s a link for them:
http://www.amazon.com/Tritton-TRIAX-180-Universal-Headset-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002P77432/ref=sr_1_4?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1312936136&sr=1-4
Please tell me if they’re suitable? Thanks, 10 points!
Also, I will be using these as headphones for my iPod and as a headset for my PC.
So I have an Turtle Beach Earforce X31 headset for the Xbox 360. I want to use it as a mic so I can record my voice for videos on my PC. I’ve heard that you need certain wires to connect it to your PC, but I found on the official Turtle Beach site they have "PC Chat Adapter Cable". The description for this says: "Use this cable to connect the X41 headset’s microphone directly to a PC mic input OR to a USB sound card". This is weird cause this item is in the accessory section for the X31′s, but it says it connects your X41′s to your PC. It also says "Not compatible with the X3, X4 Headphones".

So I’m wondering, will these work for my X31′s? Also will I be able to talk, and hear sound with this cable?
ok i bought a CREATIVE FATAL1TY gaming headset for my ps3 safe in the knowledge that i could some how get it to work:
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3361136/Creative-Fatal1ty-Pro-Series-Gaming-Headset/Product.html
Then when it arrived it had the earphone and microphone outputs typically placed into the pc…. so then i though right i need to buy some sort of usb converter… so i purchased a product similar to this which has the two inputs which convert to a usb output….
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/9467234/Dynamode-USB-Sound-Card/Product.html
this then arrived and i plugged it into my ps3 and connected the earphone and mic outputs from the headphones into adapter, then the adapter into the ps3. I then turn on my ps3 and go into accessory settings… under this section i find my new headset… i chose to have the mic input and output through the headset….
i then put call of duty 4 in and the headset is only partially working….. i can hear other people voice input (CHAT) over the headphones and my voice is transmitting….
HOWEVER THERE ARE NO IN GAME SOUNDS COMING FROM THE HEADSET WHICH IS WHAT I BOUGHT IT FOR…..
how do i get it to do this… i am sure there are not settings on ps3 i have checked them all trust me… there must be something i am missing…. no my tv does not have a headphone input…..
i no this can be done because earphones such as the TURTLE BEACH and other work with the ps3???
HOW DO I GET IT 2 PLAY IN – GAME SOUNDS ???
thankz in advance, i hope to hear from you soon,
james
I have been looking at several headsets and have found quite a few that appear to be good:
Ear Force X31
Ear Force X41
Ear Force PX5
The Ear Forces are the only ones I know of that offer great quality while also being wireless (I think all the Trittons are wired). What sort of headphones would you recommend?
well, all i know is that the g35 has a better sound quality, correct me if im wrong please. im trying to look for headphones that are good for gaming like the turtle beach x41s
oh yeah and btw, g35 has a VIRTUAL 7.1 surround sound
So i decided to hook my old PC up and game a little bit when i noticed my mic was not working at all (i have winXP). So i did the normal stuff, restarted my PC, rolled back drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, updated drivers, used the mic testing wizard, messed with the basic sound settings, made sure the actual mic itself was activated, and nothing is working so far. the mic does work on my mac so its not broken, the soundcard was onboard and i put a PCI sound card in to see if it was an integrated sound issue, and its still not working.
I have no idea where to go from here, im sort of just messing with it now to see if i can fix it. please help.
Just tried that. didnt work. i kept audacity open for record thru mic and kept repeating test as i jiggled the plug and moved it in and out. but i got nothing. i did get some waves and such, i heard the waves go thru my headphones on my headset so i figured it was recording what i was hearing, but i opened up itunes and played a song but it did not record that.
