I am a gamer, and do not work for Tritton or Turtle Beach. Don’t hate me for telling you the truth and cutting through the BS. If there is any way you can do a side-by-side comparison of these two products, I think you will agree with me. – After buying a pair of Tritton AX 51′s and replacing my tired Turtle Beach HPA’s, which were over 4 years old and still working, I quickly realized the Trittons did not deliver on what I bought them for: good surround sound. In my review of the Trittons, I dogged them for this. This video goes into detail WHY the surround is so poor in them. – The HPA2′s simply blow away the Trittons and the older HPA’s in every regard. The HPA’s were painful to wear, but the surround worked well. The new HPA2′s also offer a major improvement on bass. It is phenomenal, and I had to turn it down 50%, where the HPA’s were maxed out and the bass was still mediocre. – IMHO, Tritton’s efforts went into marketing and stylization. Turtle Beach took the effort to actually engineer their product and deliver on durability, function, and surround quality.
